However, Los Angeles property owners that are affected by the COVID-19 virus may have late penalties dismissed if they are unable to pay by the deadline.
On April 11, you can apply and submit a request for penalty cancellation online. The department has a special team to handle these requests and can demonstrate that they were affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The office encourages all property owners who can pay their taxes on time to do so. Revenue helps keep the government running and providing vital services that the public relies on.
